XPS Panel is a sandwich panel built from two CTP (GRP) facings with only an XPS foam insulation core between them — no plywood layer. It differs from the main CTP Panel line by leaving out the poplar plywood layer, which keeps the panel lighter and removes the moisture/organic-growth risk that comes with a wood layer.

The 6 mm poplar plywood layer found in the main CTP Panel line is not part of this build; the panel is two CTP facings around a single insulation core. Leaving out the poplar plywood layer makes the panel both lighter and fully water/moisture resistant. A build with no wood layer can be the better fit where the panel faces high moisture exposure or where extra weight reduction matters.

Ask whether the project genuinely needs the plywood-free, lighter build, and confirm the required finish and thickness. If structural strength from a plywood layer is the priority, CTP Panel or CTP Birch Plywood CTP may fit better.
